The Math On Ad Waste

It’s not your strategy. It’s the leaks nobody is watching.

Ad platforms are designed to spend your money. Google and Meta both make money when you don't optimize, and they auto-expand campaigns, broaden match types, and surface 'recommendations' that quietly hand budget to inventory you'd never have bought on purpose. The leaks aren't a strategy problem. They're a 'nobody is staring at this every week' problem.

Broad match with no negative keywords

The classic money pit. You bid on 'plumber Boca Raton', Google shows you for 'plumbing jokes' and 'plumbing supplies tampa'. Without a strong negative list, broad match leaks 30-50% of budget. We see this on 7 in 10 audits.

Conversion tracking is broken

Double-counting, missing pixels, or fires-on-pageview-instead-of-purchase. If the data is wrong, every optimization decision is wrong. Most accounts we audit have at least one broken or misfiring conversion event.

You're paying full price to bid on yourself

If your competitor is running brand-bidding ads on your name and you don't have brand campaigns of your own, you're paying for visitors who would have come to you for free. And you're paying premium CPCs to do it.

No dayparting, no geo controls

Your home-services ads run at 2am. Your B2B ads run on weekends. You serve Boca and Delray but your ad shows in Orlando. Without dayparting and geo filters, 10-20% of budget reliably goes to the wrong people at the wrong time.

Landing pages that don't match the ad

Ad promises 'free quote', landing page is a generic homepage with no quote form. Click-through paid for, conversion never happens. Disconnects between ad creative and landing page silently halve your ROAS.

Stuck on tired creative while winners get starved

On Meta especially, two ads with identical targeting can have 4x different CPLs. Without proactive creative rotation and budget shifting, the algorithm settles for 'works' instead of 'wins'.

Average teardown surfaces $1,800-$5,000/month in waste.

Even if you fix half of what we find and never hire us, the teardown pays for itself in the first week. 20 minutes, every leak named, list is yours.

What We Walk Through

Six places budget goes to die.

Match types & negative lists

We pull up your search terms report and walk you through where broad match is taking your money. The exact negative keywords that should have been added months ago.

Conversion tracking sanity check

Live test of your pixel, tag, or GA4 setup. Are conversions firing where they should? Counted once? Attributed correctly? Most accounts fail at least one of these.

Brand vs. non-brand split

If you're running Google Ads without separate brand campaigns, we'll show you the cost. Brand defense, brand bidding by competitors, and where your CPC is artificially high.

Audience overlap & saturation

For Meta, your retargeting and prospecting audiences are probably eating each other. We'll surface the overlap, frequency caps, and where budget is being lit on fire.

Landing page + ad alignment

We open the ad and the page side-by-side. Mismatched offers, broken forms, mobile experience, page speed. The 'click is paid for, conversion never happens' moment.

Dollar-impact punch list

Every leak gets a tag: quick fix, medium fix, strategy shift. And we put a rough dollar figure on each one. You leave knowing exactly what to do first.

Why This Is Safe

No deck. No proposal. Just the walkthrough.

Read-Only Access

We never touch your campaigns. Either you share your screen or we get read-only API access. Permission can be revoked the second the call ends.

Recording Is Optional

We record the call by default and send you the file after so you don't have to take notes. Don't want the recording? Just tell us and we delete it on the spot.

20 Minutes, Hard Cap

We don't run long, we don't pitch, and we don't talk about ourselves. The whole 20 minutes is your account on screen. If you want a proposal after, ask. If not, we move on.

Common Questions

Before you send.

What's the catch?

There isn't one. We run live teardowns 5 times a week because most of them turn into either a referral or a 'maybe one day' conversation. Even when neither, we get good intel on what's broken in SMB ad accounts. Worth the 20 minutes on our end.

What if I don't run my own ads — my agency does?

Even better. Get read-only access from them (or have them on the call) and bring the audit to them. We've had a lot of clients use a teardown to renegotiate scope or pricing with their existing agency. We don't poach. We just point at the leaks.

What platforms?

Google Ads, Meta Ads (Facebook + Instagram), and YouTube. We can also look at TikTok or LinkedIn if that's where your spend is, just mention it in the form.

How much spend do I need to be running?

If you're spending $1,500/month or more on paid, the teardown will find money. Under that, we'll still do it but the punch list is usually 'fix tracking and pause everything until you have a strategy'.

Will you tell me to stop running ads if that's the right answer?

Yes. We've told plenty of business owners that their site or offer isn't ready for paid yet and that fixing those first will return more than any ad optimization. Honest answer is the answer.

Will you send a proposal after?

Only if you ask for one. The default end-state is you leave with a punch list and we move on. If you want help fixing what we found, say so on the call and we'll send a scope.
